When traveling from Dubai in July, plan for slightly colder days and cooler nights in Yerevan: temperatures range from 40°C by day to 23°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Mon) to allow time to drive to Tatev.

Tatev is a village and rural community in the Syunik Province of Armenia. Start off your visit on the 11th (Tue): make a trip to Vorotnavank Monastery, delve into the distant past at Zorats Karer, then explore the ancient world of Karahundj (Armenia's Stonehenge), and finally take in the dramatic scenery at Shaki Waterfall. Getting from Yerevan to Tatev by car takes about 4.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of bus and taxi. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 12th (Wed) to allow time to travel to Areni.

Areni is a village in the Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia. Start off your visit on the 13th (Thu): explore the stunning scenery at Noravank Gorge, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Noravank Monastery, then pause for some serene contemplation at St. Astvatsatsin Church, and finally learn about winemaking at Momik Wines. Alaverdi, is a town in the Lori Province at the northeastern part of Armenia, near the border with Georgia. Explore Alaverdi's surroundings by going to Akhtala Monastery (in Akhtala), Stepanavan (Dzoraget River & Lori Castle) and Church of St. Nicholas (in Amrakits). You can drive from Areni to Alaverdi in 4 hours. Another option is to do a combination of taxi and bus. The time zone difference moving from Armenia Standard Time (AMT) to Turkey Time (TRT) is minus 1 hour. In July, daily temperatures in Alaverdi can reach 32°C, while at night they dip to 16°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Mon) early enough to drive to Dilijan.

An alpine haven resting in a plush evergreen national park, Dilijan has made a name for itself as the "Armenian Switzerland." A much-loved spa town rich in culture and history, uncover the majestic 10th century monasteries, undisturbed scenic vistas, and hiking trails through undulating forest.

You'll find plenty of places to visit near Dilijan: Monastery Sevanavank (in Sevan) and Tsakhkadzor (Wine Store Tsaghkadzor, Memorial Museum of Orbeli Brothers, &more). Make the 18th (Tue) an awe-inspiring day at Dilijan National Park. It doesn't end there: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haghartsin Monastery and don't miss a visit to Goshavank Monastery.

You can drive from Alaverdi to Dilijan in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. The time zone difference moving from Turkey Time to Armenia Standard Time is 1 hour. In July, Dilijan is somewhat warmer than Alaverdi - with highs of 40°C and lows of 23°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 20th (Thu) to allow time for travel back home.
