Birstonas — 1 day

Birštonas is a balneological resort and a spa town in Lithuania situated 30km south of Kaunas on the right bank of the Nemunas River. Start off your visit on the 26th (Fri): pause for some serene contemplation at The Church of Saint Anthony of Padua and then look for all kinds of wild species at Vytauto Kalnas.

The capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, boasts an impressive medieval quarter--one of the continent's largest and a World Heritage Site with almost 2,000 historical buildings.
On the 27th (Sat), examine the collection at KGB Museum (Genocido Auku Muziejus), wander the streets of Vilnius Old Town, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Anne's Church, then take an in-depth tour of Gediminas Castle Tower, and finally take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Hill of Three Crosses.
