Traveling by flight from Salt Lake City to Bryce Canyon National Park takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and car. While traveling from Salt Lake City, expect little chillier days and cooler nights in Bryce Canyon National Park, ranging from highs of 20°C to lows of 0°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Mon) so you can drive to Springdale.

Change things up with a short trip to Zion National Park in Zion National Park (about 54 minutes away). The adventure continues: scramble along the landscape with a canyoning and rapelling tour, see exotic creatures in open habitats at Zion Jeep Tours, take in the exciting artwork at LaFave Gallery, and don't miss a visit to Observation Point.

Traveling by car from Bryce Canyon National Park to Springdale takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Traveling from Bryce Canyon National Park in May, things will get somewhat warmer in Springdale: highs are around 28°C and lows about 5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Thu) early enough to drive to Kanab.

Kick off your visit on the 10th (Fri): admire the majestic nature at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, then identify plant and animal life at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, then take an in-depth tour of Kanab Heritage House Museum, and finally skim along the rocks with a canyoning and rapelling tour. Keep things going the next day: hike along Wire Pass Trail (Buckskin Gulch Access) and then hit the best photo ops around with an inspiring photography tour.

Traveling by car from Springdale to Kanab takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle. In May in Kanab, expect temperatures between 28°C during the day and 5°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 11th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Monument Valley.

Traveling by car from Kanab to Monument Valley takes 4 hours. In May, plan for daily highs up to 27°C, and evening lows to 7°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Mon) to allow time to drive to Moab.

When in Moab, make a side trip to see Double Arch in Arches National Park, approximately Arches National Park away. Make the 15th (Wed) a memorable day with a climbing tour.
