Chamarel — 5 nights

The village of Chamarel represents a small settlement surrounded by big attractions.
Spend the 13th (Mon) exploring nature at Black River Gorges National Park. There's still lots to do: admire all the interesting features of Chamarel’s Seven Coloured Earth Geopark, see the interesting displays at Curious Corner of Chamarel, get great views at Piton Canot, and take a peaceful walk through Ebony Forest Reserve.

The tiny yet endearing town of Mahebourg makes a great destination for sightseeing, boating, and lazing in the sun around Maritius' largest lagoon.
Change things up with these side-trips from Mahebourg: Takamaka Boutique Winery (in Vacoas), Anahita Golf Club (in Beau Champ) and Flic en Flac Beach (in Flic En Flac). There's still lots to do: head off the coast to Ile aux Cerfs, make a trip to Pont Naturel, see what you can catch with Dolphin Warrior, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Ile aux Aigrettes Nature Reserve.
