Venice of the North

Known as one of the greatest small cities in the world, Amsterdam charms visitors with its cool and cozy atmosphere.
Step out of the city life by going to The Amstel and Herengracht. For shopping fun, head to Markthal or Nieuwmarkt. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Amsterdam: Erasmus Bridge (in Rotterdam), Otterlo (Klompenpad & Kroller-Muller Museum) and Nieuwe Kerk (in Delft). There's much more to do: visit The Jordaan, examine the collection at Micropia, take a stroll through De 9 Straatjes, and get curious at Body Worlds.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates to Amsterdam is an approximately 10.5-hour flight. You can also drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 3 hours traveling from Dubai to Amsterdam. Traveling from Dubai in December, expect Amsterdam to be colder, temps between 9°C and 3°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 3rd (Tue) early enough to go by car to Groningen.

Step off the beaten path and head to Groninger Museum and Fontana Resort Bad Nieuweschans. You'll explore and learn at Fries Museum and Gallery Noord. Get out of town with these interesting Groningen side-trips: Leeuwarden (Historische binnenstad Leeuwarden & Winkelstraat Nieuwe Oosterstraat), Swimfun (in Joure) and De Kasteelhoeve (in Staphorst).

Low Country
