You can drive from Furano to Biei-cho in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train; or take a bus. In February, daily temperatures in Biei-cho can reach -3°C, while at night they dip to -12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Mon) so you can drive to Asahikawa.

Start off your visit on the 21st (Tue): see the interesting displays at Otokoyama Sakezukuri Museum, find something for the whole family at Asahikawa Ramen Village, then get outside with Asahiyama Yuki no Mura, then meet the residents at Asahiyama Zoo, and finally get outside with Canmore Ski Village. Traveling from Biei-cho in February, plan for somewhat warmer nights in Asahikawa, with lows around -7°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Wed) to allow enough time to travel to Rausu-cho.
