Fes, Morocco to Tokyo is an approximately 22.5-hour flight. Traveling from Fes to Tokyo, you'll lose 9 hours due to the time zone difference. Prepare for slightly colder weather when traveling from Fes in February: high temperatures in Tokyo hover around 12°C and lows are around 2°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 27th (Mon) so you can catch the flight to Osaka.

You can fly from Tokyo to Osaka in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. In February, daytime highs in Osaka are 11°C, while nighttime lows are 1°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Thu) so you can drive to Kobe.

Walkable, small, and aesthetically charming, Kobe has served as Japan's first and premier international trading outpost since opening to trade with China in the mid-19th century.

Explore Kobe's surroundings by going to Himeji (Otemae Street, Koko-en, &more). You can drive from Osaka to Kobe in an hour. Other options are to take a train; or take a bus. March in Kobe sees daily highs of 14°C and lows of 7°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sun) so you can catch the train to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.

Take a break from Kyoto with a short trip to Todai-ji Temple in Nara, about 1 hour away. And it doesn't end there: make a trip to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kinkaku-ji, and wander the streets of Gion.

Take a train from Kobe to Kyoto in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. In March, plan for daily highs up to 16°C, and evening lows to 5°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Thu) so you can catch the flight to Tokyo.

Start off your visit on the 10th (Fri): don't miss a visit to Hachiko, then admire the landmark architecture of Tokyo Tower, and then stop by Odaiba District.
