Zaandam, The Netherlands — 7 nights

Zaandam is a city in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. Do some cultural sightseeing at Zaanse Schans and Kooijman Souvenirs & Clogs Wooden Shoe Workshop. You'll explore and learn at Museummolen Schermer and Museum van het Nederlandse Uurwerk. Get out of town with these interesting Zaandam side-trips: het strand van Bergen aan Zee (in Bergen aan Zee), Strand van Castricum (in Castricum) and Alkmaar cheese market (in Alkmaar). Toronto, Canada to Zaandam is an approximately 12-hour combination of flight and car. You can also fly. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Central European Standard Time, which is usually a 6 hour difference. Prepare for slightly colder weather when traveling from Toronto in July: high temperatures in Zaandam hover around 26°C and lows are around 16°C.
