Vienna — 14 nights

City of Dreams

The cultural, economic, and political center of the country, Vienna has developed from its early Celtic and Roman roots into a medieval and Baroque city, with an old town that was designated a World Heritage Site in 2001.
Step off the beaten path and head to Melk Abbey and Durnstein Abbey. Venture out of the city with trips to Wachau Valley (in Joching), Krems an der Donau (Katholic Pfarrkirche Hl. Nikolaus & Burgerspitalkirche St. Philipp & Jakob) and Burgruine Duernstein (in Durnstein). There's lots more to do: admire the landmark architecture of State Hall of the Austrian National Library, don't miss a visit to Hauptplatz, contemplate the long history of Altstadt von Graz, and indulge your senses at some of the top wineries in the area.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiport is Vienna International Airport. In May, plan for daily highs up to 67°F, and evening lows to 50°F.
