You can drive from Vienna to Salzburg in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or fly. In December in Salzburg, expect temperatures between 6°C during the day and -1°C at night. On the 15th (Thu), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
