Vilnius — 4 nights

The capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, boasts an impressive medieval quarter--one of the continent's largest and a World Heritage Site with almost 2,000 historical buildings.
Family-friendly places like Gediminas Castle Tower and Walking tours will thrill your kids. Change things up with a short trip to Trakai Island Castle Museum in Trakai (about 36 minutes away). Next up on the itinerary: take a stroll through Vilnius Old Town, pause for some serene contemplation at Vilnius Cathedral, take in the spiritual surroundings of Gate of Dawn, and take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Hill of Three Crosses.

New Delhi, India to Vilnius is an approximately 12.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from India Standard Time to Eastern European Standard Time, which is usually a -3.5 hour difference. Kick off your visit on the 13th (Wed): make a splash at Druskininkai Aquapark. On your second day here, get outside with One Adventure Park, then make a trip to Musical Fountain, then stroll around Grutas Park, and finally walk around Antanas Cesnulis Sculpture Park.

Getting from Vilnius to Druskininkai by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. The time zone changes from Eastern European Standard Time (EET) to Moscow Standard Time (MSK), which is usually a 1 hour difference. In July, plan for daily highs up to 27°C, and evening lows to 16°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Thu) so you can drive to Palanga.

Palanga is a seaside resort town in western Lithuania, on the shore of the Baltic Sea. Kids will appreciate attractions like Palanga Beach and Birute Park. Change things up with these side-trips from Palanga: Klaipeda (Vytauto Sliogerio atminimo plokste - peda, Lithuanian Sea Museum, &more). There's still lots to do: find something for the whole family at Dino parkas Radailiai, make a trip to Klaipedos Central Post Office, examine the collection at Palanga Amber Museum, and get engrossed in the history at Kretinga Museum.

Ciurlionis Art Museum, then stop by kARTu, then step into the grandiose world of Kaunas Castle, and finally visit Old Town.
