Kobe to Furano is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or drive. In July, Furano is little chillier than Kobe - with highs of 30°C and lows of 21°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Chitose.

With the largest international airport on the island, Chitose serves for most visitors as a way in or a way out, rather than a destination in itself.

Getting from Furano to Chitose by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: take a train; or take a bus. In July, plan for daily highs up to 27°C, and evening lows to 19°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Tue) early enough to drive to Niseko-cho.

Ranking as the most popular ski resort in Hokkaido, mountaintop Niseko-cho boasts great slopes and surprisingly vibrant nightlife.

Explore hidden gems such as Shimamu Beach and Niseko Moiwa Ski Resort. Kids will enjoy Mishima's Shibazakura Garden and Cape Shakotan. Venture out of the city with trips to Cape Kamui (in Shakotan-cho) and Toyako Visitor Center (in Toyako-cho).
