14 days in Glacier National Park, Seattle & Rockies to Tetons Itinerary

The glaciers from which Glacier National Park takes its name mostly dissipated eons ago, but they left behind a scoured landscape of high and steep mountain peaks, sparkling lakes, lush alpine meadows, and thick forests.

Start off your visit on the 15th (Mon): get great views at Jackson Glacier Overlook and then take in the dramatic natural features at Grinnell Glacier. You can fly from Glacier National Park to Seattle in 3 hours. Another option is to drive. The time zone difference moving from Mountain Standard Time to Pacific Standard Time is minus 1 hour. Traveling from Glacier National Park in May, expect somewhat warmer with lows of 52°F in Seattle. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Mon) early enough to fly to Jackson Hole.

The Jackson Hole valley is approximately 97 km (60 mi) long and 24 km (15 mi) wide, encompassing the town of Jackson, Teton Village, and the northern section of Grand Teton National Park.

In May, Jackson Hole is little chillier than Seattle - with highs of 60°F and lows of 33°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Sat) to allow time to drive back home.
