You can drive from Sibiu to Sighisoara in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 2°C in December, and nighttime lows around -4°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Sat) early enough to drive to Brasov.

With the dramatic Carpathian Mountains as backdrop, Brasov is the largest city in a region of mountain resorts.

Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle) and Black Church (Biserica Neagra). Get some historical perspective at Rasnov Citadel and Fortified Church of Harman. Step out of Brasov to go to Sanpetru and see Casa Dinozaurilor Pitici, which is approximately 5h 15 min away.
