You can drive from Krakow to Wroclaw in 2.5 hours. Other options are to take a train; or take a bus. In February in Wroclaw, expect temperatures between 6°C during the day and -1°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Thu) early enough to drive to Zakopane.

Home to Poland's indigenous Goral people, Zakopane sits at the foothill of the Tatra Mountains, an area serving as one of the country's most fashionable year-round vacation getaways.

Family-friendly places like Muzeum Oscypka Zakopane and Czarny Staw Gasienicowy will thrill your kids. Change things up with a short trip to Lake Morskie Oko in Tatra National Park (about 32 minutes away). Traveling from Wroclaw in February, expect Zakopane to be a bit cooler, temps between 2°C and -7°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
