Kutaisi is the legislative capital of Georgia, and its 3rd most populous city. Kick off your visit on the 21st (Sun): take in the spiritual surroundings of Motsameta Monastery, then steep yourself in history at Gelati Monastery, then get to know the fascinating history of Korolevskiy District, and finally explore the ancient world of Bagrati Cathedral. On the next day, Head underground at Prometheus Cave, then take in breathtaking views at Okatse Canyon, and then get in on the family fun at Besik Gabashvili Park.

On the bank of the Mtkvari River and at the foot of Trialeti mountain range, Tbilisi's location has given the city strategic significance since it was founded in the 5th century.
Get some historical perspective at Jvari Church and Old Town (Altstadt) Tbilisi. Get some cultural insight at Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and Tsminda Sameba Cathedral. When in Tbilisi, make a side trip to see The City-Museum Reserve of Mtskheta in Mtskheta, approximately Mtskheta away. There's lots more to do: cruise along Rustaveli Avenue, snap pictures at The Bridge of Peace, pause for some photo ops at Freedom Monument, and examine the collection at Tbilisi Digital Space.
