Albany, USA to San Juan is an approximately 9.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Albany to San Juan due to the time zone difference. Prepare for much hotter weather when traveling from Albany in January: high temperatures in San Juan hover around 34°C and lows are around 26°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Luquillo.

Luquillo is a municipality of Puerto Rico (U.S.) located in the northeast coast, northwest of Fajardo; and east of Rio Grande. On the 2nd (Mon), look for gifts at Monkey Threads. A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
Go for a jaunt from Rincon to Guaynabo to see Spotin tours about 38 minutes away. There's still lots to do: discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, kick back and relax at Domes Beach, look for gifts at Caribbean Trading Rincon, and enjoy the sea views from Faro de Punta Higuera.
