Village of a Million People

Often described as the city of laptops and lederhosen, Munich is an international center of business, engineering, research, and medicine that still maintains a rich cultural heritage and age-old traditions.
On the 10th (Sun), take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Peter's Church, don't miss a visit to Marienplatz, take in the spiritual surroundings of Asamkirche, then contemplate the waterfront views at English Garden, and finally examine the collection at BMW Museum. Here are some ideas for day two: engage your brain at Deutsches Museum, then examine the collection at Munich Residenz, and then get a sense of history and politics at New Town Hall (Neus Rathaus).
