  • One of the best museums in NL. An architectural jewel both classic and modern, grand and accessible. My favourite way to escape for an hour or two. I’m looking forward to the reopening after...

  • Impressive building with a art world to be discovered. I can recommend a free guided tour. It will help you to understand the building, the collection and the way they store.
  • Really interesting building but you couldn't actually see much of the art. Almost all the paintings were stored as if they were in the storage room and you could take a glimpse of the amount from the glass in front of the rooms with the shelves. There is a qr code next to the glass which you can scan and see what is stored inside the room. But I don't understand what is the point of paying to enter, if you can not actually see most of the art and you see mostly storage rooms. If I wanted to see everything via the app I could have just done this online and not paying to visit the museum. I understand that they are in the process of renovating but could be smarter if they kept the previous building open until they are almost done with the new one, and then keep it close for a few months until all the art pieces are transferred. I had visited the previous museum and it was fantastic, I really liked it much more . They only amazing thing ,is indeed how they have built the inside of the new glass dome, but In my personal opinion only , would fit more to a museum regarding mostly technology and science. It creates a very cold environment with all this glass. And it doesn't feel the same when you see for example old paintings.
