PAAUW the delft blue factory
Paint a tile or clog at PAAUW the delft blue factory, offering free guided tours for visitors interested in learning more about a major local art form. This family-owned studio with a shop remains best known for its traditional hand-painted Delftware (a.k.a Delft pottery, recognized by its blue-and-white designs). The multilingual guides can show you every step of the process, but if you prefer a hands-on approach to learning, join a workshop and try painting a tile on your own. Hand-painted items must be glazed and fired, so you'll be able to pick up your own creation in a week--or have it shipped to your home address. Ask Inspirock to suggest an itinerary and make planning a trip to Delft fast, fun, and easy.

What a great experience. Delft is so beautiful! It was a unique opportunity to watch the artisans design and make this unique pottery. It is a piece of Dutch culture that the world is fortunate...

What a fun time we had here. Stop here if you’re traveling between Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Book your experience online. The five of us had our own tour/class - lots of fun! Nestled in a quaint spot along a picturesque canal, Delft Pottery will give you a tour, short history lesson and explain the age-old techniques used to make this timeless pottery. It all takes about 2 hours. You’ll receive your finished work in the post, as it gets fired afterwards. In the meantime, remember your visit by picking up a few treasures in the gift shop. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 🌟

Very nice experience. The tour is informative and free. They also offer workshops for you to try and paint it yourself for 35 eur. This was what I did. It'd challenging as you work in black and white and it only turns blue later but it's fun Updated to show the final tile! Really like the result
