A permanent exhibition on the history of Salamanca’s cathedral and the diocese, Ieronimus is located within the medieval towers of the New Cathedral, an attraction in themselves, worth climbing for the views. If you’re intimidated by the steps, keep in mind that tour groups stop frequently for pictures so there is plenty of time to rest. Check online in advance to time your visit to hear the bells from up close. Don’t miss the video simulation of the damage caused by the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. Put Ieronimus at the forefront of your travel plans using our Salamanca trip itinerary planner.

Amazing tour. It felt a privilege to view the old and new Cathedrals from a balcony high above. Also wonderful city views. Very slick

One of the must-dos for anyone visiting Salamanca unless you have a fear of heights and/or very narrow spiral staircases. Tourism in Spain is a lot of going into many churches and this tour provides one of the rare alternative perspectives of those places, walking along the roofs and passages on top, and you can even go up to the bell tower. Plus, a stunning view of the city. Highly recommend.
