We climbed to the Castillo for the views passing by the Iglesia de San Esteban. It was closed but its austere exterior looked picturesque from the terraces along the walk.

This seems to no longer be a working church, but is instead used as a makeshift museum for religious artefacts rescued from around the Burgos province. There is an information video about the restoration work carried out on the pieces brought and housed here, after their previous buildings had fallen into disrepair. Again it is one of the four churches you can currently visit (Burgos cathedral included) for 8 euros.
