Create an itinerary including Casa Batllo
Located in the bustling city center and considered one of architect Antoni Gaudí’s signature works, Casa Batllo can perhaps best be described as a combination of Modernist and Art Nouveau architecture. Gaudí’s design goal seems to have been to avoid straight lines—completely. Much of the facade is decorated with mosaics made of broken ceramic tiles, ranging in shades from golden orange to greenish blue. The roof is arched and often described as resembling the back of a dragon or dinosaur, so it’s not surprising that most locals call the building "House of Bones." Originally built for a middle-class urban family, this is one of two Gaudí houses available for touring. Skip the lines by booking your tickets online. • We only viewed this house from the street but it was very impressive & funky. When you think how ahead of his time Gaudi was it's amazing. It's situated right outside the Passeig de Gracia metro...

  • Incredible house with Gaudi architecture, furniture and genius. We took the Gold Skip the line ticket- able to see extra room and intro area- definately worthwhile as Barcelona was very crowded.

  • Very educational and inspirational experience. The audio guide made the experience even more fun. There several types of entrance tickets, but do not think the ticket with the AR tablet is necessary unless you are going with young children. Make sure to bring your own earphones!
  • I think it is the one of most unforgettable experience I have ever had. The house is just amazing and so extraordinary. I had the gold ticket and had the amazing experience. The audio guide was so engaging and tips on the tablets made it more interesting. As I am a fan of Gaudy style of architecture I was so impressed with the visit and what I saw. So definitely recommended to visit this house if you are going to visit Barcelona. The tickets needs to be pre-booked and kids under 12 are going free!
