The Slovak National Museum (Slovak: Slovenské národné múzeum) is the most important institution focusing on scientific research and cultural education in the field of museology in Slovakia. Its beginnings "are connected with the endeavour of the Slovak nation for national emancipation and self-determination".

This building is cool looking and it’s right by the water. I went there later in the day. It was 445pm and the gentleman said they close at 5. He was very polite. Would have liked to see more than.... more

Beautiful exhibitions. It explains human evolution, the evolution of the earth and animal kingdom and so on. It is relatively cheap. 3 euro reduced price, 6 regular. The museum is small, doesn't exhibit the age of dinosaurs. I wouldn't go with children to be fair. The exhibition is both in English and Slovakian.
