Blending modern shopping with history and architecture, GUM remains the country's largest shopping mall. Constructed during the 1890s, the trapezoidal building combines elements of traditional Russian and 19th-century English architecture, including a steel framework and glass roof. A major feat of engineering, the structure gets most of its illumination from giant arched skylights, each one containing more than 20,000 panes of glass. The centrally located mall houses about 200 upscale boutiques, selling internationally known clothing brands, household goods, jewelry, sports equipment, cosmetics, and souvenirs. The building's ground level offers access to cafes, restrooms, and ATMs. Put GUM on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Moscow tour itinerary planner.

The place is at the heart of Red Square. It's good place to visit. Many shops with local and international brands are available with beautiful decorations all around. Not many restaurants are available inside the mall but you can still find a nice place to dine in. I recommend it

It is an amazing place with great atmosphere. The shopping experience was great, the variety of the different boutiques makes the shopping experience easier and enjoyable. You have to try their famous ice cream and gelato that can be found all over the mall, the information desk is really helpful they can speak English and are ready to help you. money exchange service is available in the mall. The washrooms are also clean, there is a fee for using the washroom which is a great idea .
