Cathedral of the Annunciation, Diveyevo

A legend has been preserved that St. Seraphim predicted to the sisters about the future cathedral in Kanavka, which would stand on the same axis as the Trinity Cathedral and the bell tower. Since the Father himself did not say anything about the organization of the Diveevo monastery, but only what the Queen of Heaven instructed him in, in this way we become witnesses of the fulfillment of Her will. Attempts to implement this plan were made at the beginning of the 20th century under Abbess Alexandra (Trakovskaya). However, the place indicated by Father Seraphim was already occupied in 1846 by the Tikhvin Church, built by the false disciple of the Monk Seraphim and the persecutor of the Diveyevo sisters, Ivan Tikhonovich Tolstosheev. Hieromartyr Seraphim (Chichagov) insisted that the new cathedral be built on the site commanded by the Monk Seraphim, and Blessed Paraskeva also did not bless the construction of a church outside the Kanavka. On August 1, 2013, after the Divine Liturgy celebrated on the Cathedral Square of the monastery, the laying of the Cathedral of the Annunciation took place. Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Valery Shantsev and other guests took part in the church laying ceremony. The letter, which was enclosed in a capsule placed at the base of the cathedral, together with the head of the Nizhny Novgorod Metropolis and the head of the region, was signed by the abbess of the monastery, Abbess Sergius, the benefactors of the church under construction and the bishops who took part in the festive celebrations.

The iconostases near the church are 100% Catholic: both the Mother of God interferes with them, and Father Seraphim himself. This was said earlier by the locals, who were there during the construction or cleaning the Temple after the construction, that it was not a good temple, there were many workers crippled.
