Create an itinerary including Cismigiu Parc
Follow the meandering alleys of Cismigiu Parc along the shores of an artificial lake adorned with statues, memorials, and the capital's first newspaper stand. Designed in the mid-19th century, the garden showcases trees brought in from the Romanian mountains, as well as exotic plants from the Viennese botanical gardens. The highlights of the gardens include the "Romanian round," featuring busts of important Romanian writers, and two war memorials dedicated to French and American soldiers. The marble monument of French heroes depicts a grieving mother pouring water from a pitcher. The garden is also home to cafes, refreshment kiosks, summer terraces, children's playgrounds, and a restored 1920s restaurant. • We were so pleased that Gradina Cismigui was so close to our hotel. We were in Bucharest for eight days, and we spent quite a bit of time in the park. It was always filled with many Romanians...

  • Definitely looks like a nice park. There was some renovation work so the water in under the bridge was dried up so you can’t get that beauty from that part as shown in the pictures. Otherwise it’s a nice place to see and have some peaceful time. There’s playground for kids too!
  • I enjoyed walking around this park today. Nice fresh air, walkways, one small lake with water in it with some small fish but was pretty dirty. The bigger lake was empty for some reason. There is some nice trees and seats to sit and relax and acouple of cafes to chill and have a coffee or drink. Not a bad park.
