Discover the relationship between design, technology, science, and regional history at Vitenfabrikken. Featuring hands-on exhibits and interactive presentations, the museum targets mostly children and young people as its audience. Catch a glimpse of the starry sky and explore the universe at the museum’s planetarium, then see the collections of bicycles and porcelain, showcasing the city’s industrial heritage. The adjoining building used to house an oat mill, which operated from 1912 to 1988. You can still see the machinery that has been kept intact since the facility closed down. • Lots of interactive things to do for kids as well as informative displays. Better than the Science Museum in London. Highly recommended.

  • My fav place to go with kids rainy day. I have annual pass for last three years there - do I need to say more how I like this place? The first floor is free for visitors, by the way. Makerplace there....  more

  • Good place to bring kids. It's nice is open on Sunday. Lot of activities and adults will not get bored.
  • It was a great learning experience and the employees there are very excited about sharing their science knowledge. I really enjoyed the planetarium and the story called Polaris. Definitely a great thing to do with children on a rainy day and you need to get them out of the house; a lot of hands on activities to teach them in a very fun way.
