Kvinnherad Church (Norwegian: Kvinnherad kyrkje) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Kvinnherad Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Rosendal. It is the church for the Rosendal parish which is part of the Sunnhordland prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, stone church was built in a long church design in the mid-1200s using plans drawn up by an unknown architect. The church seats about 380 people.

Beautiful church with a fantastic view! Nice interiour and an interesting story. The chamber with the coffins of the barons and their family were quite exciting.

I took the ferry out to Rosendal. Unfortunately I didn’t know the Rose place was closed on Mondays. So I took the time and looked at the church. Which ended up being a surprise. A nice old stone...

While the church is somewhat small, its size and plainness says a lot about the modesty of rural Norwegian Lutheranism. The stone corners juxtaposed with the white stucco gives the church a clear sense of depth, especially against the natural summertime green background. The view from the church is absolutely beautiful.

So pretty! This beautiful church is situated up the hill from the main street of Rosendal. The view is breathtaking from all sides. The mountains frame it in a picturesque scenery.
