At 22. juli-senteret, learn about the aftermath of the terrorist attack from 22 July 2011 in the site where the attack started--the government building complex. The tragic event is presented chronologically through texts, photographs, surveillance footage, filmed interviews with survivals, and other evidence collected during the police investigation. You can still see the damage from the explosion both inside and outside the building. The most poignant part of the exhibit is the room dedicated to 77 people killed in the attack. Founded on the initiative of survivors and relatives of deceased, the center focuses on the solidarity in the days following the attack, and the subsequent trial. By using our Oslo trip planner, you can arrange your visit to 22. juli-senteret and other attractions in Oslo.

  • Worth a visit. It is important for a civilization to think it over and speak out to make a progress. The site is under renovation so hope to see a better one next time
  • Informative, hard to digest even w/ no personal connection more than it is my birthday.
