Grand Baie Public Beach, Riviere du Rempart

A white sand public beach just next to the coastal main road. Lots of trees to offer shade on the beach as well as many wooden benches for sitting and enjoying the view. Also a great sunset point. Few small food shops there by the beach like swarms, rolls, snacks etc. There are few drain canals flowing through the beach to sea water, and the beach is not so clean due to so easy accessibility to everyone. It's good for jogging, walking, relaxing though. There's a fresh fish stall by the beach and that makes it smelly around that shop. We'll, overall not too bad to visit.

Grand Baie is such an amazing location in mauritius....there are so many restaurants. The water activities are so easily accessible. There are currency exchanges virtually everywhere making it super easy for tourists. One can just sit at the beach the entire day and indulge in the local cuisine. So easy to get around using public transport.
