  • Challenging hike that must be performed in proper shoes and not Flip flops as we saw a couple of tourists!!!!!! Beautiful forest and the lakes. Most impressive os to walk on the dried river of lava. We enjoyed it very much and can highly recommend it,even for beginners hikers. Just wear proper shoes!! The visitor center is helpful, lots of information and they have tortoise!💕
  • One of the best parks on the island. Free entry but parking space is somewhat limited. Nevertheless it is a beautiful 1 or 2 hour trail depending on which one you choose to do. Take a lot of water with you as there is none there. Don’t forget the mosquito spray as well. I recommend starting from the field office for the first time. But there are other entrances around the park.
