Set in a restored 19th-century fort, Lithuanian Sea Museum and its onsite aquarium explores humans' relationship with the ocean and the life of marine animals. In rooms that were once gunpowder storage cellars, visitors can admire ship models and archaeological artifacts accompanied by informational displays about Lithuanian seafaring. Exhibits on the history of marine life tackle subjects such as evolution, the fauna of the sea, and dangerous ocean creatures, both real and legendary.
