Watch walruses, sea lions, and dolphins perform gravity-defying tricks at Kinosaki Marine World. When you first enter the complex, you'll encounter a fairly modest aquarium, comparative to others in the country--though at three stories tall it still boasts a variety of marine life. The facility's real specialization is the larger mammals, showcased in a 30-minute show. You'll also have an opportunity to learn about the biology of Pacific white-sided dolphins in a dedicated live show. Extra experiences include submersion into the water as dolphins frolic and swim around you (without your getting wet), and swimming with the friendly creatures. Both come at extra cost, and the swimming option requires you to pre-book around a month in advance. Very good size for a half day trip to see the shows. Check the show schedule before you visit. A bit cold in winter.

Signature place to visit when visitting Kinosaki Onzen town. Sea animal shows are attractive for children such as Dolphin and sea lion show. There also are small japanese restaurant that we can fill our tank nicely.

Nice, although small Aquarium, good to spend some time with children if you are closeby. The main aquarium is rather small compared to other more famous places, such as the Kaiyukan in Osaka and there is quote few sub aquariums to see, but they do have special pools for seels, walrosses, penguins and dolphins. If you are coming with small children in babycars though, you might be annoyed to find out that there is no elevator at the end of the main route, meaning that you have to backtrack all the way back to the beginning again to get back out.
