Create an itinerary including Sanrio Puroland
Treat the kids with a visit to Sanrio Puroland, a theme park showcasing some of the country's most popular children's characters, including Hello Kitty. Opened in 1990, the theme park entertains younger children, with the whole indoor facility decked out in a colorful (primarily pink) cartoon theme, and with costumed characters around every corner. Take a tour of Kitty's house to meet her family, and let the kids take a trip on one of the gentle rides. Three live performance stages host immersive plays with plenty of audience interaction. • Sanrio Puroland is great fun for all ages. I took my daughter (7) who initially thought Hello Kitty is for babies and we both had such good time. The rides, shows, and games are all very well done...

  • No so faraway from Shinjuku! Must go with Kids, so parents can enjoy too! So many photogenic places and colorful foods! Easy to access by train 🚊 Love to go some time...

  • Went with our daughter as a family. Much of the rides were closed, there was just one character out and it was out for a really short time. I wish they had told us what would be closed. The whole theme park was underwhelming, I notice many men visiting alone which was a bit creepy. There were mainly shops and machines that takes coins you wonder why you paid to get in. We didn't feel welcome. Waste of a day unless you are desperate to upload a few pictures for your instagram feed.
  • Love this place. If you are coming from overseas you can find discount tickets online. I also suggest the passes that let you skip the lines for shows or rides. The Kawaii Kabuki show is a lot of fun.
