  • Nice to see, but don’t make a trip to this part of town just for the clock tower. It’s surprisingly small and interesting to look at for about 30 seconds; not much beyond that.

  • I went to the Sapporo Clock Tower with my toddler, and roamed around reading the history of Sapporo and this building while she slept. All of the exhibits have English as well, and is quite interesting to read! You can access the second floor by use of a priority elevator if you have a stroller or are in a wheelchair - just ask one of the staff to help you out. The volunteers there are also up for a chat if there’s something more you want to know about. A great little side journey for your afternoon!
  • I ended up staying here longer than expected. English and other languages were translation on some of the history stands. Worker there spoke English and welcomed me, sharing his personal passion for the clock tower. I enjoyed walking through what felt like a special treasure of Sapporo!
