  • To get there was very easy as you can catch the bus at Otaru station or a taxi very easily. But the way back you will have to plan well for the bus back as per timetable... waiting at the bus stop...

  • They need to shut this place down - it is so sad to see the animals, especially the dolphins swimming in cricles, so stressed out. I would not visit this place again.

  • Much meet and exceed my expectations, small but neat and very interesting shows for penguins walk and dolphins shows. Kids would love it, it takes you a round 30 minutes from JR station there, and the bus normally crowded and less frequent, so better to check out timetable beforehand. Be prepared with a book there are some stamps to collect , kids would love
  • Not the largest aquarium by any means but for the entrance fee it's well worth it. Still a decently wide range of exhibits and species on show, some of which i've not seen before despite having visiting quite a few aquariums. The dolphin show and particularly the penguin parade are the key attractions. Get up real close and personal as the terribly cute penguins waddle past you.
