We walked here during a day trip to Lake Chuzenji. The lake in this area is pretty but there is not a lot to see here and I am not sure the walk is worthwhile. I can't really recommend this.

A nice little spot! The weather was foggy when I visited (end of June), but it was still very peaceful and relaxing. A great escape from the city. I can only imagine how much more beautiful it must be with clear weather. I paid ~300yen for access to the Italian and British villas. They're small, not much in terms of furniture that could be interesting to a Westerner, but the history behind them is very intriguing. The Italian Villa also smells delightful due to the cedar bark.

I went here when I was about 14 and it was fricking magical. The tree syrup candies are also really interesting. This is worth the look around
