See one of the most evocative and hypnotic phenomena in nature at Uzu no Michi, an observatory offering sights of whirlpools in the Naruto Strait. Located on the second floor of a long bridge, the glass-floored observatory provides extensive views of the unusual natural phenomena, as well as the expertly engineered bridge itself. The strait between the main island and a lesser one has become well known for its whirlpools, the result of tidal currents. Learn about the science behind the natural sight, or just gaze in wonder at the almost magical sight. Put Uzu no Michi on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Naruto road trip planning website.

Such a cool place! The bridge that you can see through to watch the whirlpools underneath your very feet is amazing! Highly recommend!

Today's strong winds made walking quite challenging, in a fun way. The kids loved how they could hardly walk straight. Only four stars because I didn't get to see an actual "naruto", despite being there at the recommended time for that day. Even without a naruto, the sight is worth the trip.
