Breathe in the fresh air of Inokashira Park, a welcome green lung offering a range of attractions. Founded in 1918 in what was then a suburban area, the park stands in testament to the growth of the capital throughout the 20th century, and now offers welcome respite for city-dwellers. Admire the blossoms and the main lake, taking a boat trip out onto its waters to gain a new perspective on the park. A small shrine, petting zoo, and aquarium form the park's cultural highlights, making for good focal points during a number of long ambles around the grounds. Before you head to Musashino, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Musashino journey builder site, to make sure you see all that Musashino has to offer, including Inokashira Park.

  • A good place to view the autumn leaves. The park is also with other recreational facilities including a zoo. Recommended for families with kids.

  • This is one of the best parks in Tokyo in my opinion. Not only is it a good park, it is also on one of the cheapest train lines (Keio Line) and it is in such a nice area. The area is still part of the city, but it feels much more like a town than city (more rural but still a city). Kichijyoji Station is the closest and is only about a 5 minute walk if you walk leisurely. That station is also a very culturally dense area. Hands down one of my favorite places, the station and park.
  • Quite a lovely place, close to station and hence one of the favourite hangout place for people in the local. You can enjoy walking, cycling or boating. Also at the entrance do not forget to try various flavored tea shop.
