Who says everything is small in Japan. This shire is one of the biggest in the country. A must see if you are in the Matsue/Izumo area.

The main building is terrific, a real beauty! But a bit arrogant: “at least 300 years older than Izumo Taisha”, it says. So what? But yes, some like them really old.

A treasure well maintained and close to the city. Worth visiting this place as it is one of the ancient shrines of Japan. The beautiful trail and peaceful atmosphere add to the bliss
