The only double-deck bridge of the six bridges connecting Honshu and Shikoku islands, Great Seto Bridge spans over 13 km (8 mi) across the Seto Sea, carrying two railway lines on its lower deck. A marvel of engineering which took a decade to complete, the bridge complex has become a major tourist attraction. You can take a pleasure boat tour from Kojima sightseeing port to admire the bridge from below, or simply hop on a train to get spectacular views from the bridge itself. It takes 20 minutes to cross the bridge by train or by car. Nearby, three suspension bridges, two oblique suspension bridges, and one truss bridge make great silhouettes, and add to the scene when illuminated after sunset. I often pass under the Setoo Bridge, but I've only crossed the bridge countless times. If you think about it carefully, it's different from the Setoo Bridge because the railroad runs on the bridge over the strait. The Japanese technique is really wonderful! And beautiful The best bridge!
It is one of the three major connecting bridges connecting Shikoku and Honshu. In particular, this bridge is a station that can be reached not only by car but also by rail. I crossed this bridge by rail. You can get a spectacular view of the Seto Inland Sea from the train window. There are several islands along the way, some with parking areas.
