Create an itinerary including Omicho Market
Peruse the day's seafood catch along with the locals at Omicho Market, a large venue selling fresh food in Kanazawa. Established in the mid-18th century, the market serves up produce, meat, fish, and flowers. Vendors will serve you samples of their wares in front of their stands, and the restaurants inside the market get especially busy around noon. Join the crowds to try the regional specialty, a rice bowl topped with Kanazawa seafood. • Don’t expect this market to be real fish market something like Tokyo Tsukiji or Toyosu market. It is much smaller and tourists friendly market. All shops are covered by roof and has wider corridors.....  more

  • Medium sized seafood market. Some souvenirs can also be bought there. Restaurants and markets with eat in places. Nothing really special but if you’re nearby, why not. Cheers
  • This place was a AWSOME experience. Lots of locals, no tourist, but I bet this place will be busy when tourism. Opens up. Try fresh sushi right on sight.
