  • Similar to the old Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo. The market has lots of independent sellers selling much of the same items - crabs, oysters, konbu, and so much more. We enjoyed a crab nikuman bun...

  • Hakodate Morning Market is located a few steps from the city’s main railway station. The market usually opens at 5.00 a.m. and closes at midday. The market is free to visit and easy to access via the JR and South Hokkaido railway systems. Lots of fresh live seafood is available. Many of the stalls also offer to cook your purchases on the spot. Can’t get any fresher than this! Had amazing visit. Love the market and breakfast!
  • THE place to buy seafood. The stall staff can also arrange to ship whatever you buy. There is a food hall on the second floor. There is pay parking available between the market and train station.
