Take your family into a fairytale world at Funabashi Andersen Park, an extensive park dedicated to famed children's storyteller Hans Christian Andersen. Kids will relish the various playgrounds, including a forest-based jungle gym, with various climbing, hanging, and swinging apparatus, and a 50 m (164 ft) slide, also found on the site. Take in a faithfully realized Danish landscape, replete with colorful flower gardens and an authentic looking windmill, then check out the petting zoo, where children can meet farm animals and take pony rides. Look out for the children's art museum, a building stocked with craft materials, where children can freely cut, stick, and create to their heart's content. Consider bringing a picnic along with you to enjoy on the various open and green spaces found throughout the park. One of the best parks I've ever seen in Japan. Perfect for all ages. Splash area with small beach and stream, several slides including a giant japanese roller slide, jumping balls, animals, train ride and several vending machines and toilets (the only disappointing part as they were a bit dirty as it was a busy summer day). The shop inside sells toys, snacks and drinks and they accept credit cards which is a novelty in Japan. There are plenty more things to do which we didn't have the time. So definitely coming back as the entrance fee is also very reasonable. Tents are welcome.

We visited in January. The kids play is relatively big and nice. Other than that and the animals hiroba, there is not much to do. But seems like a better place in summer. Will make a visit later. There are quite a large number of food stalls. Many parking lots too.
