  • Right next to the Chitose river, this aquarium tells the story of the salmon found there. There are numerous fish displays, as well as an observation area which is under the river.

  • Nice freshwater aquarium with interesting fish, located next to a river park. 800 yen per adult. Probably takes about 45min total. They have a couple areas where you can touch the fish, including sticking your hand in a tank to have fish nibble the dead skin off. It was a nice way to use up some free time we had before our flight. We ate at the great pizza place in the food court building next door.
  • Friendly staffs. Nicely kept sea creatures. Will get chance to feed fishes too. Nearby restaurants are awesome. Specially ice cream 🍦 10mins walk from chitose station.
