Porta S. Genesio di Venzone, Venzone

In the Middle Ages, Venzone had 2 walls and 15 towers. Following the events that have occurred over the years, and above all the terrible earthquake of 1976, which practically razed the town to the ground, only Porta San Genesio has remained intact. Today, the restorations, little by little, have restored part of the walls and walkways, using their own stones. Porta San Genesio, across a bridge over the moat, is still one of the entrances to the village.
