Museo Revoltella
Part baronial mansion, part art gallery, Museo Revoltella is home mostly to 19th-century paintings and sculptures. This historic neo-Renaissance building was home to Baron Pasquale Revoltella, and its three floors still express the elegance and wealth of its owner. Acquired by the city of Trieste following the baron's death in 1872, the museum was expanded to the adjacent buildings in order to offer additional exhibition spaces. Start by exploring the luxurious residence's many rooms and all the works, furniture, and books they contained. Then, move on to the modern exhibits to see the approximately 350 paintings and sculptures on display. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Trieste holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Museo Revoltella and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

Very beautiful building with amazing sculptures. Noone told us there was an English app even though we were clearly tourists so we walked around the museum with very minimum English information. So minus one star for customer service.

This is a Museum with a great collection of fine arts (paintings and sculptures). We enjoyed the innovative presentation of Monet and Le Poittevin. Besides, there are many other impressive pieces of fine arts, which is almost imperative to see when visiting Triest.
