Created in 1948 after the building of a tall dam, Sauris Lake is a picturesque artificial body of water in the Lumiei River valley. Hiking the trails around the lake, you can take in the tranquil ambiance and the striking scenery, punctuated by panoramic mountain vistas. During the warmer months, you can participate in a variety of recreational activities here, including windsurfing, fishing, and boating, as well as mountain biking and climbing.     Lovely lake, very picturesque, and great to see at low-level or from higher viewpoints on the road up to Sauris or beyond. Can rent boats or go for walks in the hills around.
