Museo civico d'Arte - Palazzo Ricchieri, Pordenone

We took our preschoolers to this museum and were guided by Ms. Anna. Our workshop consisted of looking for emotions in various portraits and noticing details like half-smiles, arched eyebrows and blushed cheeks and nose. A statue of Icarus led to a discussion regarding his glorious flight near the sun and descent to the sea. I was amazed to see how the children were able to imitate graceful poses of a prisoner breaking free of his chains and facial grimaces. A follow-up activity of observing our faces through different emotions using mirrors allowed the children to sketch their faces on transparent acetate sheets for a project at LEARN bilingual School. Two hours flew by and we enjoyed the visit immensely. A big thank you to the staff of this museum and the patience shown to our youngsters this morning!

Every year I find very interesting art exhibitions! I love culture and art, and when I can I can't wait to go there. Among other things, the prices for students / reduced ticket are really good (about the price of a coffee).
